Influence of active sulfur in oil on mechanical equipment purification equipment of oil filter

2018/5/17 Viewers:
The significance of determining the content of active sulfur in oil products is;
(1) through the copper corrosion test, it can be used to determine whether there is active sulfide or free sulfur that can corrode the metal in the oil, because the active sulfur is not allowed in the oil products, otherwise it should be removed to ensure that the metal parts of the equipment are not corroded and run safely.
(2) through copper corrosion test, it is possible to predict the possibility of metal corrosion when oil is used. Oil is inevitably exposed to metal during transportation, storage and use. Therefore, the requirement of copper test is qualified. This is also one of the important indexes of oil products. If the copper plate test is not qualified, the oil can not be used.

The caustic test of oil, the principle of its test.

The caustic soda test face of petroleum products is also called sodium hydroxide test, and the acidification test of caustic sodium extractive is referred to as sodium test. The caustic soda test is a qualitative test for checking naphthenic acids and their soap in oil products. The basic principle of this method is to make the chemical reaction between the caustic solution and the naphthenic acid in the oil in the same volume, and produce the salt, and in the alkaline solution, when the acid is acidified in the hydrochloric acid, it turns into a naphthenic acid, which is difficult to dissolve in the water, and presents the turbidity, and the experimental results are divided into four grades according to the turbidity degree. For example, in the initial 1min after acidification, the solution remained completely transparent. Indicating that the content of naphthenic acid and its soap in the test oil was extremely low or even not, that is, the grade 1. In the initial 1min, the acidification solution was pale blue and slightly cloudy, but it was still able to read the 6 alphabet through the test tube, indicating that there was a slight cyclic burning acid and its soap in the test oil, which was rated as grade 2. If you can only read the alphabet of No. 5, it is rated as level 3. If the extract after acidification has been cloudy and can not read out the 5 alphabetic alphabet, it is rated as grade 4, that is, the sodium caustic test is considered unqualified. This class 1~4 only indicates whether naphthenic acids and their soap or their content are heavy or not, but there is no specific content, so they are still in the category of qualitative analysis.

Attention should be paid to the test of caustic sodium in oil.
1. the concentration of alkaline solution used in the experiment must be 0.6%, because this concentration is the minimum concentration to ensure that the oil and alkali solution are easily separated (not emulsified) and can be completely acted with the extractable material in the oil.
2. reagent should have a certain purity, the caustic sodium is prepared by distilled water, and when the acid is added to the acid reaction, the solution must not be cloudy, otherwise, the test results will be affected.
3. the instruments should be cleaned and clean without oil.
4. the boiling time and the separation temperature should reach the specified conditions, when the boiling time is stirred, the components of the naphthenic acid in the oil are fully extracted and separated from the oil, otherwise the result will be small.
5. the pipette of the infusion fluid should be kept clean and no oil should be inhaled, otherwise the result will be too large.
