Edge oil is used as an indicator of insulation performance in electrical appliances.

2018/5/11 Viewers:
Insulation oil is mainly used in electrical insulation, mainly used in transformers, transformers, switches and other electrical appliances, the performance is mainly low temperature performance, oxidation stability and medium loss is the three main performance indicators of electrical insulation oil.

(1) low temperature performance is the main requirement of insulating oil, which means the flow of the oil in the equipment can be automatically convective in the low temperature condition, the heat and the instantaneous cutting off of the arc current are derived. Electrical insulating oil is generally required to have low pour point and low viscosity at low temperature. The International Electrotechnical Association (IEC) is divided into three grades of -30 C, -45 C and -60 C when the transformer oil is poured on the transformer oil (when the temperature of the petroleum products is cooled to the loss of flow in the standard tube). The pour point of capacitor oil and cable oil is generally in the range of -30 to -50 C.

Oxidation stability is the second performance index of insulating oil. The insulating oil is oxidized for a long time by the action of heat and oxygen under the action of electric field. In the past, oil products with better oxidation stability were prepared by using naphthenic oil under reasonable refining conditions, but it was proved that the oxidation stability of the oil with antioxidant and metal passivating agent was better.

The dielectric loss is mainly a reference value of the content of the impurities in the transformer, which is a reflection of the dielectric loss of the insulating oil under the AC electric field, and is generally expressed as the tangent value (TG delta) of the dielectric loss angle (delta). TG delta is a very sensitive index, reflecting the refining degree of oil, the degree of cleanliness and the degree of oxidation metamorphism. The TG delta value will be increased by the inclusion of gelatin, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, or mixed water, impurities, and oxidation of oil products. In general, the dielectric loss of transformer oil at 90 degrees centigrade should be less than 0.5%.

The insulating properties of oil mainly include transformer oil, oil switch oil, capacitor oil and cable oil.
(1) transformer oil is a low viscosity oil used in transformers and other equipment for cooling and insulation.
Oil switch oil is an insulating oil used for oil immersed switch. It used to substitute for transformer oil.
Capacitor oil is used in capacitors (mainly power capacitors or electrostatic capacitors) with insulation impregnation or moisture absorption.

(4) cable oil is a refined oil for insulation, impregnation and cooling in the cable, or a mixture of oil and other thickeners (such as soft wax, resin, polymer, or bitumen).
