How is the emulsified water in the hydraulic oil formed

2018/5/17 Viewers:
The source of moisture in oil products is generally referred to as two aspects: external invasion and internal self generating.

1. in transportation and storage, water in the oil.
2. oil equipment in the installation process, because the drying process is not thorough (such as the insulation winding is not dry) or in operation due to the equipment defects (such as the tight seal of the turbine unit), the surface makes water invade the oil, or the transformer breathing system is transferred to the moisture and water vapor into the oil, which is called the moisture absorption (wet). Sex.
3. the moisture absorption of oil products is related to the chemical composition of the oil itself. The water absorption characteristics of the oil products with different chemical compositions may have a difference of ten ppm. For example, the more aromatic hydrocarbons in the oil, the stronger the moisture absorption of the oil. There are some molecules of polar impurities (such as alcohol, acid, metal soap, etc.) in the oil, which also significantly increase the moisture absorption of the oil, that is, the ability to suck the lake will increase rapidly after the oil aging.
4. in the use of oil, due to the operation conditions, the oil should be gradually oxidized, and oil will also be accompanied by water in its oxidation process.

There are three main types of water in oil products.

(1) free water: most of the water that invades human beings. If it is not stirred, it is not easy to combine with oil. It often leaves water in the form of oil droplets or settling at the bottom of equipment and containers. Although this usually does not affect the breakdown voltage of the oil, it is also not allowed because it indicates that there may be dissolved water in the oil. The moisture at the bottom of the equipment or container can be released or disposed directly.

Dissolved water: this form of water is dissolved in oil with extremely fine particles, usually from the air into the human oil, and in the oil is more evenly distributed, which indicates that the oil has been polluted. Dissolved water can dramatically reduce the breakdown voltage of oil. When high temperature between the winding and iron core of the transformer, the dissolved water will change into the state of steam; when the water vapor is in contact with the cold oil, it forms dissolved water. A part of dissolved water can be removed by centrifugation, and the dissolved water can be removed completely. It can be removed at high temperature by atomizing at a certain temperature.

(3) emulsified water, poor refining of oil products, long-term operation of oil aging, or the presence of emulsified substances in oil, will reduce the interfacial tension between oil and water, combine oil and water together to form an emulsifying state and make it difficult to separate oil and water. This water is called milk water. Oil-water emulsion is divided into two types: oil droplets suspended in water and hydrophilic emulsion. When the oil moisture boundary layer is aggregated and soluble in the surface insoluble substances, such as sodium soap produced by alkali treatment, it is possible to form such emulsion.

When droplets are suspended in oil, water droplets are added. It is usually due to surface soluble substances that are soluble in oil, such as asphaltene, resin or metal salts, which will cause the emulsion to occur in oil and water. The stability of the emulsion is very high. It is very difficult to separate the oil from water by mechanical means. Under certain conditions, a suitable demulsifier is added to separate oil from water.
