Because the presence of water in the alcohol solution will make the acid value titrant become muddy, making the endpoint not easy to judge. The way to prevent it is to make the alcohol lye contact with the air less. Once it is used up immediately, the liquid bottle should be filled with small space as much as possible.
2. in order to prevent alcohol lye from becoming muddy or precipitating, the following two methods can be used. First with the dilution method, then quickly called potassium hydroxide 7G. in the 20~30ml fine mouth bottle, immediately adding no aldehyde anhydrous ethanol to the bottle full, and then shaking for a few minutes, to most radon potassium oxide dissolved, after one night, the next day gently pumping about half of the upper level liquid, pour the 1000ml capacity bottle, and add no aldehyde anhydrous B. The alcohol can be calibrated, and it can be calibrated by potassium hydrogen phthalate two. The concentration of the solution is about 0.05M. If its dependency is less than 0.05M and greater than 0.04M, it can be used. If the solution is less than 0.04M, add more concentrated lye and then re calibrate its dependence.
3. if the concentration of alcohol lye is greater than 0.05M, additional absolute ethanol should be added. It can be made up more: the calculation of the dosage can be calculated according to the required quantity of potassium hydroxide (g) and the volume and Moore concentration required to prepare the alcohol alkali solution. It is not easy to open the bottle at the end of the bottle. It is advisable to use the upper layer of liquid when necessary, and can be used after calibration.
