These products will increase the release value, so the value of oleic acid after oxidation can be used as an indicator of oil oxidation degree. At the same time, it can also be used as a standard for long-term use. But sometimes oxidation can not only form a small amount of acidic substances, but most of them form neutral products. Alcohols, ketones, esters, resins and asphaltenes belong to neutral oxidation products. These products and their condensates can produce dark deposits. If some oil is oxidized very deep, the acid value will not rise. This is due to the formation of polymer acids which are not oil soluble. Therefore, in deep oxidation, the antioxidant stability of the oil is presumed, besides the acid value, there is an indicator of the content of the settling substance. Sometimes, although the acid value is qualified, but the precipitates exceed the index, then it is no doubt that the oxidation stability of the oil is not qualified.
