Influence of density, temperature and viscosity of insulating oil on transformer equipment

2018/5/15 Viewers:
Insulating oil requires low pour point and low viscosity at low temperature. In electrical equipment, oil is oxidized for a long time by the action of heat and oxygen under the action of electric field. The oxidation stability of the oil added with antioxidants and metal passivating agents is better. Dielectric loss is the degree of dielectric loss of oil in AC electric field. It is generally expressed as the tangent value of dielectric loss angle (tan delta).

The definition of density in physics is the mass of matter contained in a unit volume. Therefore, the density of oil products in the unit volume of the quality of oil in China's petroleum product density determination method, whether measured by the density meter method or the specific gravity bottle method is the density of petroleum products. Although it is customarily known as "lateral gravity", the density is actually measured, not the specific gravity. What are the main factors that affect oil density? The main factors that affect oil density are as follows. It is related to the temperature of the cut fractions. Generally speaking, in the refining process of petroleum products, such as the temperature of the cut fraction is high, the average molecular weight of the oil product is large and its density is large. On the contrary, if the temperature of the cut fraction is low, the average molecular weight of the oil product is small, and the density of the oil product is also small.

It is related to the chemical composition of oil. The density of oil is related to the amount of hydrocarbons contained. The density of hydrocarbons is the smallest, followed by Naphthenic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons. The density of non hydrocarbon compounds is also large, so the greater the content of aromatic hydrocarbons or non hydrocarbon compounds in oil products, the greater the density of oil products. When the oil is aging in operation, the resin and asphaltene produced will also affect the density of the oil.

It is related to the temperature of the environment. As we all know, the density of oil products is greatly affected by temperature. When the temperature rises, the volume of oil increases and the density decreases. Conversely, when the temperature decreases, the volume decreases and the density increases. Therefore, when measuring oil density, the temperature must be indicated.

So the density and proportion of the insulating oil are important to the equipment. If the chemical components in the waste insulating oil have changed, the additives, antioxidants and antiwear agents in the insulating oil are reduced. At the same time, under high temperature and high pressure, impurities, colloids and black carbides are produced. It is necessary to use the insulating oil filter to remove impurities and carbides in the interior by means of physical heating and filtration.
